Sonora, Ca -- This weekend, some Tuolumne County residents will have their first chance to see many of the Christmas lights on display across the area.
On Saturday, Tuolumne County Transit will sponsor a free Christmas Light Tour. General Manager Monica Manuel says it is geared toward elderly and disabled residents who would otherwise not have a chance to get out and see the lights. Many people will be picked up directly from their home, and returned when the tour is over. She notes that a select number of other residents will be able to join in on the event. A bus will depart from the Willow Springs, Courthouse Square and Junction Shopping Center at 5pm. Each bus can fit up to 18.
There is no cost to ride, however, they will be accepting canned good donations. The tour will conclude at 8pm.
