Wet Storm Expected To Trickle Into Mother Lode Sunday

Sonora, CA-- Those hoping for winter wonderland in the Mother Lode this holiday weekend may have some luck in the higher elevations.

The National Weather Service reports a wet storm is expected throughout the Mother Lode on Sunday and Monday.

Officials say it should be a mild storm with precipitation falling as rain except for snow above 6,000 feet over the Sierra. Ski areas are expected to receive plenty of snow at the higher elevations.
