Sheared Power Pole Plays Havoc With Traffic

Sonora, CA -- A collision between a vehicle and a power pole in the area of Yosemite Road at Woodhams Carne Rd. knocked out power to 70 P.G.& E. customers early this morning.

Spokesperson Emily Barnett says that 69 of the 70 customers had their power restored by 8:30. She adds that traffic on Yosemite Rd. will be reduced to one lane while crews repair the damaged pole and transmission lines.

Please avoid that area if at all possible for at least the next hour.
