Sonora, CA-- Problems with icy roads caused numerous traffic accidents Saturday morning.
A single vehicle accident on Highway 108 by the Strawberry Bridge had ambulance crews responding after a Toyota 4-Runner rolled down a hill at about 9:40am. CHP reports indicate the roadway will need to be closed for the time being. There was another report early this morning for icy roads on Rawhide Road at Peppermint Circle. One driver hit a patch of ice at about 6am this morning on Greeley Hill Road just West of Smith Station Road and went down an embankment. There was no report of injuries to that accident.
