Cocco Arrested Following High Speed Chase

San Andreas, CA -- 51 year old Harry Cocco of LaGrange finds himself in the Tuolumne County Jail after being arrested early Friday evening for felony evasion, driving-under-the-influence and driving with a suspended driver's license.

Cocco's 1979 Harley Davidson was stopped for a non-compliant brake light on Marshes Flat Rd. west of Hope Ranch. Cocco stopped, allowed his female passenger to disembark and then accelerated rapidly in an eastbound direction.

The pursuit continued for several miles reaching speeds in excess of 90mph over Hwy 49, Hwy 120, Jacksonville Rd. and finally Twist Rd.

Cocco eventually failed to negotiate a right turn near 14420 Twist Rd. His bike overturned, slid off the roadway and through a barbed wire fence. Cocco was pinned under his motorcycle.

Cocco's bail was set at $100,000.
