Angels Camp, CA -- A series of meetings are taking place in the Mother Lode to form a resource management plan at New Melones Reservoir.
The Bureau of Reclamation runs the lake area and says the plan will evaluate environmental, social, and economic effects of different management alternatives. An Environmental Impact Statement will also be prepared with the plan to assess any potential effects. A meeting was held in Sonora on Monday and another one is scheduled for Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., in Angels Camp at the Bret Harte High School Library.
A third meeting will be held Wednesday, January 31 in Manteca.
