School Bus Tangles With Tow Truck

Glencoe, CA -- A Calaveras Unified School Bus was side swiped Monday morning by a tow truck traveling on Highway 26 near Glencoe.

The CHP says the tow truck, driven by 27-year old Timothy Bowman of Valley Springs, was traveling east on Highway 26 and drifted over the double yellow lines. At that time, the school bus, driven by 40-year old Christie Atnip of West Point, was approaching in the opposite direction.

The two vehicles side swiped each other and knocked off each of the vehicles' mirrors.

The bus was carrying students at the time. No injuries were reported.
