Angels Camp, CA -- The 2007 Calaveras Follies, held in February, brought in $29,000 for youth mentoring programs in Calaveras County.
The cabaret style musical review is held every year to raise money for the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program. In 2005, the fundraiser brought in $12,000 and $21,000 in 2006.
The mentoring program is based on the Big Brothers, Big Sisters model. It hooks up adult mentors with local youth to maximize their potential.
