Relay For Life Events In Calaveras

Angels Camp, CA -- The 2007 Relay For Life is coming up on April 28 and teams are ramping up for this annual American Cancer Society fundraiser.

This Saturday, March 31 at Utica Park in Angels Camp the Angels Camp Fire Department is holding their 3rd annual Chili Cookoff. Cooking starts at 10 a.m. with judging at 3 p.m. Proceeds benefit Relay For Life.

Also on Saturday the Bella Angels Relay For Life team is holding a yard sale in Angels Camp. It will take place in the Altaville Post Office parking lot from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This year's Calaveras Relay For Life will take place April 28 and 29 at Bret Harte High School.

According to the American Cancer Society, one in two men and one in three women will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime.
