Search Warrants In Calaveras Net Two ArrestsThursday, April 26, 2007 - 02:35 PM

San Andreas, CA -- The Calaveras County Sheriff's Department served two search warrants this week both leading to the arrest of local women.
In Hathaway Pines on Tuesday, a warrant was served on Hillcrest Drive. 28-year old Ivory May Qualis was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant. The investigation is ongoing. And on Wednesday in Angels Camp the Calaveras Methamphetamine Enforcement Team searched an apartment on Copello Drive. Items that may have been associated with a theft were recovered along with approximately 50 grams of methamphetamine.
39-year old Cathleen Porovich, who lives in the apartment, was already in jail on charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance. She was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for sale. This case is also still under investigation.
