Rail Road Flat Fifth Wheeler Destroyed By Fire

Rail Road Flat, CA -- Fire crews responded to a call of a fire on Ridge Road in Rail Road Flat Thursday to find a fifth wheel trailer fully engulfed in flames.

The cause of the fire could not be determined due to the extent of the damage. The area of origin is believed to be near the stove area.

Central Calaveras Fire Chief Robert Gill says the occupant of the trailer John Bauer seemed out of it. Gill called the scene very suspicious.

Damage is estimated at $2,500.
