Sonora, Ca -- In recognition of his outstanding accomplishments in the community through the development of the Sonora High Golden Regiment Band and his contributions to the Mother Lode Round-Up, Pat Sieben received the Sheriff Posse's "Top Hand" award this morning.
“This is a complete and total surprise,” said Sieben. He notes that the award is a special honor because it recognizes the entire band for their work. The Golden Regiment Band has been involved with Mother Lode Round-Up for 24 years.
The 50th edition of the Mother Lode Round-Up Parade will mark one of Sieben's final appearances in Sonora. He has accepted a position with Cloud County Junior College in Concordia, Kansas effective the end of this school year.
