Calaveras Announces August Election For Special Districts

San Andreas, CA -- Special Districts in Calaveras County will hold an all-mail ballot in August to elect new directors.

The county Elections Department says 28 various districts in the county will hold their elections on August 28.

Included in the election are the Calaveras County Water District, eight different fire districts, two sanitary districts, three public utility districts, the San Andreas Recreation and Parks District, four veterans memorial districts, and eight community service districts.

The nomination period opens May 7 and ends on June 1. Nomination papers will be available from the Elections Department at 891 Mountain Ranch Road in San Andreas.
