Click It Or Ticket Nets 117 In Calaveras

San Andreas, CA -- Since the beginning of the program last week, the Click It or Ticket enforcement program in Calaveras County has caught 117 people without a seatbelts.

CHP Officer Mike Maddox says 84 of those tickets happened on the Memorial Day Weekend.

Also over the weekend, there were five DUI arrests. They took place on Highway 4 at the Stanislaus County line, at Poker Flat and O'Byrnes Ferry, Hogan Lake and Camanche Lake. A fifth arrest took place on Burson Road when a person was driving a tractor drunk.

Officer Maddox urges drivers not to drive drunk and please buckle up because it helps save lives.
