San Andreas, CA -- The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors will vote Tuesday on the 2007-2008 proposed budget of $95 million.
A report from the county Auditor says all county funds are balanced and General Fund contingencies are at $714,000. Along with the budget, the board is expected to formally clarify that there will not be a hiring freeze as previously recommended by the Administrative Office.
Budget documents will be made available online sometime in July and final budget hearings will take place in September.
And at a 2:30 p.m. study session the board will hear the results from a recent homeless survey that shows there are 137 adults and 31 children without homes in Calaveras County.
The board meets at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the county Government Center in San Andreas.
