Tanker 82 Involved In Columbia Air Base MishapTuesday, June 26, 2007 - 12:00 PM

Columbia, CA -- CAL FIRE's Air Tanker 82 suffered a minor mishap Monday evening when the front landing gear failed to operate during a landing.
The tanker was returning at 7:05 from an "out of unit" assignment in Santa Clara County. The plane skidded approximately 2,500 feet. The pilot was not injured. According to Fire Information Officer Barbara George the plane will be out-of-service for repairs for approximately a week.
