San Andreas, CA -- This morning's Bonds Flat Rd.-J59 vegetation fire was quickly extinguished.
According to CAL FIRE Fire Investigator Dennis Townsend the fire was caused when a bobcat caught a rabbit, went up a power pole, made contact with a line, was executed and fell into the vegetation. Townsend labeled it a first in his many years with CAL FIRE. In Calaveras County that 44 Ranch Rd. vegetation fire has now covered approximately eight acres. Cause of that blaze remains unknown at this hour.
