P.G.& E. Power Interruption Continues

San Francisco, CA -- P.G.& E. officials report that due to unforseen circumstances, the interruption of power to 1,730 Pinecrest and Strawberry customers continues at this five o'clock hour.

Power was originally scheduled to be out for only 90 minutes from 9am to 10:30 today. P.G.& E. then issued a statement the interruption would continue until noon. The latest word from P.G.& E. Spokesperson Nicole Tam is that the power will be restored as soon as humanly possible.

This interruption marks the first of two scheduled for this week. The second is set for Friday, August 3 from 4 to 5pm. The interruptions are caused by a $1.1 million replacement project at the Spring Gap hydro generation facility.
