Firefighters Dousing Holt Creek Area Fire

Sonora, CA -- At 2:30 this morning Cal Fire's Emergency Command Center in San Andreas received notification of an acre-and-a-half fire on Forest Rd. 3N01 in the Holt Creek Area of the Stanislaus National Forest.

Cal Fire responded with a battalion chief and three engines. U.S. Forest Service immediately reponded with a battalion chief, a water tender and a engine with additional resources being ordered from the state.

Stanislaus National Forest Dispatch Manager Bill Barrios reports the fire is now in the mopup stage.

Cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
