Calaveras CAO Will Migrate To Mendocino

San Andreas, CA – Calaveras County Administrative Officer Tom Mitchell announced today that he is taking a job in Mendocino County as Chief Executive Officer.

The Mendocino County Board of Supervisors made that decision during an executive session this afternoon.

Mitchell previously announced his resignation in June but has been tightlipped about his future plans.

Mitchell says, “Mendocino County is a terrific place to live and many of the issues they face in their community I have experience with in my tenure in San Luis Obispo County (where Mitchell served before coming to Calaveras County).”

Along with this announcement Mitchell also says he will be leaving sooner than planned. Originally saying he would stay until October 12, Mitchell's new last day in Calaveras will be September 28.
