Calaveras County Government Center Back In Full Swing

Calaveras, Ca-- All is right again with the 911 system for Calaveras County.

Sheriff's Department Sgt. Dave Seawell says both power as well as phone service has been restored. During the problem they were dispatching from a different location.

He adds that he was pleased that they had practiced a drill for this kind of problem and that the incident went on “without a hitch.”

The power failure hit the Calaveras Government Center early this morning causing the department to not be able to accept non-emergency calls.
