Dead Body Discovered Near Jamestown

Jamestown, CA -- At 11:47 this morning the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Department received a call regarding a dead body that had been discovered.

The body was found in the field in the 18650 block of Hwy 108 just east of Sierra Motors on the north side of the roadway.

According to Lt. Dan Bressler the body was so decomposed gender could not be determined. Bressler adds that a forensic autopsy will take place to determine the cause of death. If anything other than a natural death is determined, the case will be treated as a homicide.
