Suspects Reportedly Use Internet Site To Help Steal Motorcycles

Sonora, Ca -- On Monday, Travis Marple contacted the Sonora Police Department to report that two motorcycles had been stolen.

One of the vehicles belongs to him, and the other to his brother. The brother's motorcycle was listed for sale on Craig's List, a popular internet website.

On Sunday two males in their twenties came to Marple's residence inquiring about the motorcycles. The Police Department says the subjects asked some suspicious questions about the bikes, and how they were stored at night. The next morning, the motorcycles were gone.

The suspects were driving a white Ford extended cab truck. The Sonora Police Department is asking for anyone with information about the theft to call 209-532-8141. The motorcycles were a black 2006 Honda CVR 1000 with a license plate number 18M6630, and a silver 2004 Honda CVR 1000 with license plate number 17C6964.
