Angels Camp, Ca -- California's state flower will soon be showcased along Highways 4 and 49.
The Calaveras County Garden Club is planning to plant poppy seeds all along both highways in order to create a continuous vision of blooms during the spring season. According to the club, the project will involve accepting donations to purchase poppy seeds, hydroseeding and hand sowing in both private and public areas along the roadways.
The five year project is chaired by Dianne Harrison. If you are interested in getting involved, you can call 209-736-6817.
