Foothill Fire District To Host Sunday Event

Valley Springs, CA -- The Foothill Fire District will host a Change Your Clock-Change Your Battery event Sunday in front of the Mar-Val Grocery Store located at Hwy 26 and Hwy 12.

Scott Byous says his department will be handing out free batteries and brochures to remind residents of appropriate fire safety measures to be followed during the winter months.

Fire officials have made a practice over the years of reminding the public to change smoke detector alarm batteries twice a year; when daylight saving time starts and ends. Daylight Saving Time will come to an end this year Sunday, Nov. 4 at 2am.

The Foothill Fire District covers Valley Springs, Burson, Wallace and Campo Seco.
