Sonora, CA -- The Jupiter area was struck by a suspicious-in-nature vegetation fire this afternoon at 3:05.
According to Stanislaus National Forest Dispatch Manager Bill Barrios, the fire is currently between 5-10 acres in size. Full containment has not been attained, but the spread of the fire has been halted. CAL FIRE has joined in the effort to extinguish the blaze. Resources being utilized include air attack, three air tankers, one helicopter, five engines, two hand crews, one dozer and four water tenders.
