Burglars Caught In The Act

Sonora, CA -- "Caught in the act" would be an accurate description of why 18 year old Christopher Jerry Alexander Stone of Jamestown and 20 year old Stephen Leonard Calvillo of Oakdale find themselves in the Tuolumne County Jail today.

Mid-morning Monday Sheriff's deputies were sent to a burglary in progress on Montezuma Rd. The suspects were spotted leaving the residence in a white '97 Chevy S-10 pickup. A CHP helicopter discovered the pair in Jamestown where they were promptly arrested by Sheriff's deputies.

Found in their possession were $4,000 worth of weapons and several additional items.

Both are being held on a "no bail" basis.
