High Speed Chase In Calaveras County Results In Arrest

Burson, Ca -- The Calaveras County Sheriff's Department says 26-year-old Robert L. Schumacher of Valley Springs faces multiple charges following a short high speed chase this past weekend.

A deputy attempted to pull over Schumacher after he was reportedly driving recklessly on South Burson Rd. without any taillights. Schumacher initially failed to yield, but eventually gave in near the intersection of Southworth Rd. and Adams Rd.

A subsequent investigation revealed that the motorcycle was stolen in Ceres. Schumacher was also found to be intoxicated, and was charged with driving under the influence.
