Sonora, CA -- 48 year old Lindon Martin Hill of 20165 Canyon View Drive in Tuolumne was arrested by Tuolumne County Sheriff's deputies early Sunday morning at the intersection of Hwy 108 and O'Byrnes Ferry Rd.
At 5:30 Sgt. Craig Davis was watching a suspicious vehicle when he was joined by a Highway Patrolman. After making contact with the vehicle's occupants the officers realized the driver had given them a false name. Within the vehicle officers discovered drug paraphernalia and other indications of illegal drug use. Hill attempted to use his brother's name so as not to be cited for driving with a suspended license. Hill was booked on charges of being in possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and providing a false identification to a peace officer.
Hill was cited and released with a promise to appear for his court date.
