San Andreas, CA -- Two small Calaveras County fires were handled quickly Thursday.
At 11am the Jenny Lind fire chief, two engines, a squad and the Foothill fire chief responded to a fire at 6141 Baldwin St. in the Rancho Calaveras subdivision. The fire was contained at the wall near the clothes dryer. There were no injuries and no dollar estimate has been reported. An hour later a kitchen fire was reported at 1331 Wells Fargo Station Rd. in Railroad Flat. Responding were the Central Fire chief, two engines, a patrol and a rescue unit. Cause was not identified when the CAL Fire report was issued. Same is true for extent and dollar value of the damage.
