Sonora, Ca -- Dr. Anthony Monreal, Deputy Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction with the Californian Department of Education, is spending his Wednesday speaking with officials and touring school campuses in Tuolumne County.
“There is obviously a lot of community pride,” says Monreal. “The facilities are very well maintained, and there's a lot of very solid activity happening in classrooms. Folks really hold these schools as part of their community.” Monreal says that he was invited by Tuolumne County Schools Superintendent Joe Silva and Columbia School District Superintendent John Pendley to visit the county.
