Sacramento, Ca -- State Senator Dave Cogdill is praising the decision re-hear a court ruling that would have declared most instances of home schooling as unlawful in California.
“I am very pleased that the Second Court of Appeals has decided to re-hear the case which determines the fate of thousands of home schooling families throughout the State,” said Cogdill in a statement. “The court's earlier decision was an affront to the family and to commonsense and I am glad that the court will have another chance to get it right. Parental rights to oversee their children's education and upbringing must be protected.”
The previous opinion of the court was that parents that home school must have a teaching credential.
