Sonora, CA -- Coming off their 2-nil Sac-Joaquin Division IV semi-final round win over Dixon Thursday evening at Dunlavy Field, the Sonora High Wildcats will meet the West Campus of Sacramento Warriors tomorrow in Folsom at 10am for the sectional title.
The Warriors captured their semi-final round match Thursday with a 1-nil win over Colfax. The Wildcats will go into their 30th match of the year with a record of 25-2-2. They are 11-0 at home, 8-1-1 on the road, 6-1-1 at neutral sites and they finished the Valley Oak League schedule with a record of 12-1-1.
Sonora's defense has allowed but eight goals for the entire season. The 'Cats own 21 shutouts on the year and six in a row. Sonora goes into the title match on the strength of an eight match winning streak.
West Campus (a college prep school) will come into the title match with an overall record of 19-4-3. The Warriors have won five in a row. For the year they have 15 shutouts.
A year ago (May 21) the Wildcats defeated West Campus at Dunlavy Field, 3-nil, for their second consecutive section title.
