Sonora, Ca -- By a 4-2 vote, the Tuolumne County Planning Commission is recommending that the Board of Supervisors deny the 897 home Mountain Springs Project.
Issues brought up during a meeting held Wednesday night at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds included the effects of increased traffic, loss of agricultural land and the lack of adequate fire resources. Voting against the project located off Lime Kiln Rd. were Jim Garaventa, Larry Sidmore, Patrick Stone and Ty Wivell. Voting for the project were John Latorre and Jerry Morrow.
The Mountain Springs Project is expected to go before the Board of Supervisors in late June.
