Sonora, CA -- It is believed that 43 year old Roy Ward Watson's body has been discovered by Tuolumne County Sheriff's Deputy Dan Crow.
Ward left his LaGrange area home on July 16 to chop wood in the Soapridge area of Mariposa County. When he did not return home over the weekend a missing persons report was filed with the Mariposa County Sheriff's Office. Crow initially found Watson's white Dodge truck in the area of Hardin Flat Rd. and Golden Arrow Rd. Nearby he found a body tenatively identified as Roy Ward Watson.
Watson suffered from multiple sclerosis and the missing persons report indicated that without his medication he could become disoriented.
While the investigation continues, foul play is not suspected in Watson's death.
