The Gold Rush of 2009 did officially end with an event at Black Oak Casino. The winner, Dan Shea, was indeed a happy person! As Bill Johnson wrote: Sonoran Captures $10,000 In The Gold Rush Of '09

As the Internet Program Director I got to attend, to those of you there- person handing out the goodie bags and taking all the photos... that was me!

I even got to take two batches- about 20 balloons- downstairs to my husband and kids. They were thrilled and our cat didn't eat them either!

Another great thing was with the blue Country 93.5 KKBN and yellow STAR 92.7 balloons a few people asked if I worked at the radio station and I got to say YES! Usually it is the other way around, I say I manage myMotherLode.com and they ask about MLI or the news newspaper.

The account executives were there who help people get their ads on the radio and on myMotherLode.com. Laura even introduced me to some ladies who know all about the schools in Calaveras where I will be moving soon. Being out and meeting people was really great.

With pictures worth 1,000 words, just check out the events photo gallery. I will just say that in this economy I think everyone needed and wanted to win. Maybe take the advice of your daily myMotherLode.com horoscope and save some money for now. Or, not that I recommend playing the odds, but myMotherLode does have a lottery page here. Though I have never bought a lottery ticket I can certainly dream up fun ways to spend the money!
