I am not an expert when it comes to football but I do enjoy going to the local high school games and homecoming week means fun times! For more about Sonora's homecoming Parade read Mark Truppner's Newsmaker of the Day. Check out the videos from last year in myMotherLode.com's video section.

The local shops on Washington street have been displaying their school spirit with several wildcat paw prints and decorated window displays. While the Bret Harte Bullfrogs have already celebrated homecoming on their new Field Turf see Bullfrogs Set For Homecoming And New Field Turf and Summerville had theirs early in the season on the 25th of September. 

Homecoming is a great time to show support for the students and the school. I highly recommend purchasing a stadium seat! The launch for Sonora's stadium seat campaign will raise funds for the "Trek for Track"

It couldn't come at a better time- you can sit in the stadium seats through the games and as the each class's homecoming couple is announced with out suffering!

Unfortunately the stadium lights remain the giant monoliths that block the view of many otherwise choice spots. This is always most obvious at homecoming for anyone who doesn't arrive very early and/or isn't experienced in picking the "good" seats!
