*RequirementsState Senator Dave Cogdill discusses the current water issue in California and legislation that may be passed this week in the Senate and the Assembly. Cogdill also addressed the continuing state budget crisis while also discussing the power of special interest groups in the state. Bill Johnson served as host.

Stanislaus National Forest Supervisor Susan Skalski, Supervisor Dick Pland and TuCare President Mike Albrecht will comment on the latest legislation that may help the timber industry rebound. Other subjects to be covered; the possibility of reopening the Standard S.P.I. mill and the efforts by the Forest Service to give rebirth to the industry. B.J. Hansen will host.

Tuolumne County Health Officer Dr. Todd Stolp and his Calaveras County counterpart, Dr. Dean Kelaita, join forces to dispel continued misinformation regarding the H1N1 vaccine now available in both counties. Doctors Stolp and Kelaita will identify the correct target groups, the safety factor and the value of vaccinations. Bill Johnson serves as host.

Mother Lode Views will focus on fire safety. CAL Fire Captain Gordon Winningham will discuss the continuing fire season in the Mother Lode, the importance of changing batteries in smoke detectors when Daylight Saving Time ends (Nov. 1), and ways in which families should prepare themselves for residential fires through coordinated escape plans. Winningham will also comment on home safety measures to prevent residential fires. Bill Johnson is the host.

Sonora City Administrator Greg Applegate discusses the recent settlement agreement regarding Lowe's, plans for the expansion of Walmart, and a new McDonalds restaurant. He will also talk about what the city is doing in preparation for the winter months.
