Election Day Is Tuesday
Sonora, CA — Based on the vote by mail ballots already received, the Tuolumne County Elections Office is projecting a large turnout for Tuesday’s election.
Tuolumne County Clerk and Auditor-Controller Debi Russell was Friday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
The polls will open on Tuesday at 7am and will close at 8pm. If you have questions today about where your polling location is located, you are asked to contact the Elections Office at 533-5570.
Bautista reports that nearly eighty percent of registered voters in the county are choosing to vote via the mail rather than at the polls. The ballots must be postmarked by Novemeber 8th and received into the office by Monday November 14th.
California voters will not only choose a new US Senator to replace Barbara Boxer but will also decide the fate of numerous ballot propositions.
The Tuolumne County Elections Office is located at 2 South Green Street in downtown Sonora. It is also considered to be an early polling place and will be open today, tomorrow (from 9am to 1 pm) and Monday. Any Tuolummne County resident may vote there. On Election Day the hours will be 7am to 8pm. You may also contact the Election’s Office by calling (209) 533-5570.
KVML Radio will broadcast national election results beginning at 4 PM on Tuesday, with local election result coverage from 8 PM through 11 PM.
