Why has the general public not been notified about this so we can apply for the housing? And if it has how can we contact them? Alot of times these things get into the paper and the housing or such is already filled. Do you have to know someone to get in? Thanks

Cheri - Habitat for Humanity of Tuolumne County (HFHTC)became the owners of Parrott's Ferry Village at the beginning of October. We will be announcing public meetings to be held in 2010 at which time we will be explaining the application process and handing out applications. This purchase is a huge step for our affiliate and we will be taking it slow and easy for the first year to ensure we are doing the best job possible for our future homoeowners and the neighboring community. Betsy Harden, Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity of Tuolumne County.

This is a wonderful opportunity for our community. Habitat for Humanity has been working in Tuolumne County for over ten years, trying to build up a critical mass of staff and board members. I think they have already completed six houses for families in need. With the new Parrotts' Ferry Village, over 30 new families could benefit. Let's all get behind Habitat and help them raise the funds to build.

Cheri Victor,
My name is Ted Michaud, President of the Habitat Board for Tuolumne County. May I ask if you would be willing to meet with me in order that I might present how Habitat for Humanity works and to answer questions you may have? I'd be happy to buy a cup of coffee.
Ted

Hi Ted,
Thanks for responding to my comment. I would be happy to meet for coffee sometime soon to discuss The Habitat for Humanity. I understand how the program works. I just do not know how to qualify for such a program. I am on disability and have my daughter and granddaughter living with me because they can not get the money up to live elsewhere. Thanks for your input,
Cheri
