Update at 11:15pm: The CHP reports that Highway 120 has re-opened. No additional information has been released about the five people killed in tonight’s crash.
Original story: Groveland, Ca — The CHP reports that a head-on crash this evening in south Tuolumne County has resulted in multiple fatalities.
Two vehicles collided at around 6:30pm on Highway 120 near Smith Station Road. The vehicles briefly caught on fire. Highway 120 is temporarily closed and a detour is set up via Ferretti Road. The CHP is reporting that five people have passed away, and there were two additional injuries.
