New Resource To Save Lives In Amador County

Amador County, CA — As we head into the cooler seasons, PG&E has donated a lifesaving tool to the Amador County Sheriff’s Office.

PG&E has donated this new equipment, a Snowcat, used to travel and work in deep snow and icy terrains. This equipment will assist the sheriff’s Search & Rescue Team in safely reaching remote, snow-covered areas during winter emergencies. Sheriff’s officials commented that the vehicle will strengthen their ability to protect and serve the people of Amador County.

“We’re grateful for this partnership and support that helps us keep our community safe year-round,” shared sheriff’s officials.

This weekend, we reported that PG&E also donated a snowcat to the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s office for winter-related search and rescues. This new resource was donated by the utility’s power generation team to the Amador County Sheriff’s Foundation, which accepted the new equipment on behalf of the Amador County Sheriff’s Office and its Search & Rescue Team.
