Concealed Knife On Sonora Man Resulted In His Arrest

Sonora, CA – A Sonora man was arrested after a hidden knife was found on him, along with a credit card that did not have his name on it.

A Sonora Police patrol officer recently stopped a bicyclist for an equipment violation. The rider is 47-year-old Warren L. McKinley. While being questioned, a concealed fixed-blade knife was found in the waistline of his pants. According to the SPD, it was completely hidden from view, which they stated, “under California law is a felony,” and he was detained.

A subsequent search uncovered a debit card on McKinley that did not belong to him, but it is unclear how he got it or whether it was stolen. Additionally, found in his backpack were two suspected drug pipes, one containing white residue.

McKinley was arrested and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for felony possession of a concealed dirk or dagger, misdemeanor misappropriation of lost property, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
