Sonora, CA– Several kids and parents are taking it easy after a long day of car washing yesterday.
Former Sonora High School student Marina Cooper organized a car wash between the Mervyns and Wal-Mart parking lot from 9:00am to 4:30pm.
The proceeds, she says, are going to the Family of Jim Albini, a Sonora High a School teacher who is in critical condition after a propane explosion in July.
She says over 250 cars were washed yesterday and that people were very generous and concerned for Albini. Cooper says some people gave money without even having their car washed.
Now Marina Cooper has one more job to do, to count how much money this generous event raised.
