Grading, Paving, And Drainage Work Underway In Angels Camp

Angels Camp, CA — Caltrans is making planned improvements in front of several business entrances in Angels Camp, and drainage inlet modifications, ahead of next week’s forecasted rain.

Throughout today (Friday), there will be grading of entrances serving businesses along the Highway 49 corridor, between Highway 4 and Bush Street. On Saturday, crews will come back and pave those graded entrances.

Both today and tomorrow, there will also be concurrent modification work on drainage inlets to improve stormwater flow.

The work will take place this weekend due to heavy rainfall possible, early next week.

The City of Angels Camp also reports that the Caltrans project manager will be on hand at the upcoming October 21st City Council meeting. It will start at 6 pm at the Angels Camp Firehouse. Interested residents, business owners, and stakeholders are encouraged to attend that meeting to hear more about the overall project status and timelines.
