San Andreas, CA — A head on collision Monday morning in San Andreas has landed two local residents in the hospital.
The CHP says 21-year-old Marie Garcia of West Point was driving a 1993 Saturn on Highway 49 near the Cement Bridge when she drifted across the double yellow lines into the path of 48-year-old James Lewis of San Andreas.
Lewis was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban and the two collided head on.
The CHP says Garcia and Lewis were flown to Memorial Hospital in Modesto and are being treated for major injuries. Lewis is listed in good condition. Garcia´s status is unkown at this time.
Lewis´ 15-year old passenger Kevin Lewis was taken to Mark Twain St. Joseph´s Hospital where he was treated and released for minor injuries.
