San Andreas, CA – Brush removal and a cancer event will close two roadways in Calaveras County.
In Murphys on Sunday (10/12), the Cancer Strong Fundraising Event—Car Show will close Church Street from Main Street to the Surrey Lane intersection from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Later in the week in San Andreas, crews will be clearing the vegetation from around ATT Communication Lines, from the corner of California/Lewis Avenue to Foothill Court. The work will require a full closure of the roadway on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, beginning at 9 a.m. and running until 1 p.m.
To ensure safety, public works officials ask the public to follow all directions provided by on-site personnel directing traffic and signage. Any questions regarding this road closure can be directed to Nate’s Tree Service at (209) 532-2460. Additionally, to report urgent road-related issues, call the Calaveras County Public Works Department at (209) 754-6401 during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm). After regular business hours, please contact the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office at (209) 754-6500 (non-emergency phone number).
