Angels Camp, CA — A fire that consumed one vehicle at New Melones Reservoir Monday is being called arson.
Tom Hutchinson with CDF says when crews arrived, the 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass was 90 percent involved.
The car had been abandoned about four days ago in the Big Oak Campground parking lot.
Hutchinson says the fire started in the middle of the night, making it suspicious.
The fire was contained to the vehicle with no spread to nearby vegetation.
