Sonora, CA — Two Sonora children are in the custody of their grandmother today after Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Deputies decided their parents were not able to care for them due to drug use.
On Sunday, the 20 year old father called the Sheriff´s Department to report that his 21 year old girlfriend, the mother of their children, ages two and three weeks, was unable to care for their kids because she was having a bad reaction to some Ecstasy pills.
Deputies arrived and found both parents under the influence of Ecstasy to the point neither of them could care for the children.
Deputies released the children to their grandmother and transported both parents to the county jail, where they were booked for Child Endangerment.
