Sonora, CA– Habitat for Humanity of Tuolumne County is continuing its efforts to eliminate homeless families.
The construction of the 5th Habitat house began Tuesday with the help of KJM Construction. Once completed, the 20443 Canyonview Drive house will become a home for Denice McKenzie and her three daughters.
The public is invited to attend the Site Dedication Ceremony on Saturday September 23rd at 1pm. To be sure there are enough volunteers to help complete the construction of the house; there will also be a Volunteer Orientation on September 17th at 1pm and another meeting on September 19th at 6:30pm.
Both Orientations will be held at the Senior Center on Greenly Road in Sonora.
Habitat for Humanity officials say their goal is to eliminate poverty housing and homeless from the world and make decent shelters a matter of conscience and action. For more information go to the website.
